The Black Eyed Peas Boom Boom Pow Review

"Boom Boom Pow" is a combination of dance, trance, world, and hip-hop, and the song itself is basically about how much better their beat is than yours. The outrageous lyrics include at least one sexual reference and a half dozen uses of the s-word, but it also got me thinking about the idea of taking one part of something to the extreme at the expense of all the other parts.

Miley Cyrus The Climb Review

Miley Cyrus has a winner with "The Climb". The sound is country-influenced pop, featuring a soft piano intro and Miley's voice, which is incredible for a 16-year-old. Neither the music nor the lyrics are really original, but the song is powerful nonetheless.

T.I.'s Dead and Gone Review

In our review of T.I.'s last hit song, "Live Your Life," we said that he was stepping out against popular rap culture. In "Dead and Gone," T.I. is doing it again. This song features the vocals of pop icon Justin Timberlake and an acoustic piano in a chorus that should keep this song at the top of the charts for a while. "Dead and Gone" continues T.I.'s penchant for reflective lyrics with a message.
