She stares at her old photos
All the memories that they made
Now all seem to disappear
Together we were sisters
Not by blood, but by chance
But as we grew
She slowly fell away
Lost in a world of boys and lies
Becoming like her mother
Her biggest nightmare
I should shred some tears
But I feel I no longer can
For if I was to be replaced by children
Then who were you to begin with
I will not pretend that it does not hurt
But you do not get my tears
You do not get my hurt
You do not get my love
I can pray you wake up
But I will not hold my breathe
I will not sit and wait
My life is not about yours
One is never better then another
But I am better then this
I can walk tall
Hold my head high
And not be involved in childish things
My words are my escape
One day you will turn around
With tears in your eyes
And realize…you have sunken so low
That you are far from your dreams
Living in a world you hate
A world you are stuck in
You can call my name
But I can not be your savior
I can only lend an ear
Long ago
We were sisters
But that was then
This is now
