Many
people out there are always looking for ways to make themselves smarter,
and some of them
believe that certain foods will help in some way. Well in that grand
tradition here is some food for thought.
Here's
what you'll need:
-
3 1/2 cups flaked coconut
- 2 cups confectioner's sugar
- 1/4 cup softened butter
- 1/4 cup light cream
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 3/4 cup grenadine syrup (optional)
Start
off by mixing all the ingredients except the grenadine syrup in one
big bowl.
Once
you have made a thoroughly mixed up batch of pre-brain goop put a piece
of wax paper onto a cookie sheet then use a spoon to glop out the goop
and
mold it into a brain (looking somewhat like a boiled egg cut in half,
with wrinkles).
Now
put your brains into a refrigerator and let them chill out for an hour,
then reshape any that need it.
To
serve the Brain food just put some of the grenadine syrup on a plate
(it's blood eeewwww)
and set the brains on top of it. Now the brains are ready for transplanting
to your abdominal region
.
And
now for some real food for thought:
Romans
12:2 says: "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world,
but be transformed
by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve
what God's will is--his good
pleasing and perfect will."
The
"brains" that we made today were easily conformed or molded into the
shape and size that we wanted them to be. We just pressed on them in
a certain spot and they gave way to the pressure. This is what the world
would like to do to us. It wants to poke and prod us until we become
an image of what it is itself. God wants us to be transformed, to become
something totally different, by the renewing of our mind. The only way
to renew our mind is through prayer, study of God's word, and Christian
fellowship. Then God will continually transform our lives and we will
become something so different from what we were before that it will
seem that we really have had a brain transplant.
