Dr. Dare's Anti-Santa

by Dr. Dare

It seems that every year, Santa takes all the attention away from the true meaning of Christmas. Jesus Christ is the reason we celebrate Christmas. The birth of Christ is just one of the many things that separates Christianity from other religions. You see -- rather than believing in a religious system, God came down so that we might have a relationship with him. When he came he did not come with power or might, pomp or circumstance. Jesus came to us in a body we could relate to. He came as an infant and was born in the lowliest of places, a barn. All that Jesus did to show his love for us.

The world has tried to get the focus of the true meaning of the holiday. This Christmas -- Think Jesus!

Now for our craft of the day!

This is not food, but is just as fun. We are going to make a Christmas Pop-Up card that you can give to your friends that reminds them to "Think Jesus" this Christmas.

First you'll need to download the 2 image files for the card and print them out. We'll show you how to assemble it.

Download Image files (you'll need both):

The Cross

The Card

David, our trusty office manager, will help us assemple the card.

First print the files and cut out the cross.

Watch those fingers!

Next fold the card printout so "Think Jesus" is inside.

What your set up should look like (you'll need a glue stick or glue)

Fold the white tabs on the cross, forward.

Fold the Cross in half.

Apply adhesive to the underside of white tabs on cross.

Note the gray lines on the center of the card. The white tabs will be glued on these lines.

Carefully attach the cross to the gray lines. The crease in the center of the Cross, should line up with the creadse in the center of the card.

Let dry -- Your card is done! Thanks David!

Don't just sign the card with your name. Take some time to write to your friends telling them about what Jesus has meant to you in your life. Use this Christmas to share Christ with your friends. On the back of the card is our website address, so your friends can find out more about living for Christ.

Have a very Merry Christmas - and remember -- THINK JESUS!
