Work Ethic
Life is made up of hard work; if you haven't worked, you haven't lived.
I am amazed by people who don't seem to know the first thing about getting a job done. Hard work is like a foreign language to them, and they are not eager to learn it. They could sit around and watch others work all day, perhaps even impatiently. But they never realize that the job would get done much faster if they would just pitch in and help.
The Bible has many words of encouragement and warning about hard work. One passage that says it all can be found in Proverbs 10:5 - "He who gathers crops in the summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son." If you want others to think well of you, you might have to get off your rear, get your hands dirty and do some hard work!
